Camp Edi

Camp Edi is an exciting new international English and science summer camp for children and teenagers from ages 8 to 17. North of the arctic circle, Camp Edi is located on the island of Kjeøy in beautiful Northern Norway. Kjeøy is also the home of Kjeøy Research and Education Center (KREC), where the main focus is mineral resources and the environment. Students and professors come from all corners of the world to participate in workshops, conferences, short courses, and research. Due to this unique international setting, Camp Edi provides an ideal environment for learning English and exploring the scientific world.

In the land of the midnight sun, Kjeøy is surrounded by the beautiful mountains and islands of Vestfjord and Lofoten. This is where killer whales come in the hundreds in the Fall to feed on the abundant supply of herring. The protected Sea Eagles, on the other hand, feast year round on the richness of fish. Come and join us this summer and be one of the first to experience this unique and unforgettable camping adventure. Space is limited, so get your application in soon.

Accomodations

Camp Edi is an overnight camp. Campers will be housed in various accommodations on the island. The older campers will stay in the student dorm rooms. Each of these rooms has a full bath and can house up to four students. The former fishermen's house that once housed up to 30 fishermen will house the younger children. Classrooms and laboratory facilities at KREC are used for the science and English instruction. Meals will also be served in the KREC dining hall.
